VDOT TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE FARMWOOD ROAD
(Work will close east entrance to Gloucester Point Shopping Center)

FREDERICKSBURG— On Monday, Feb. 1, weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will temporarily close Farmwood Road (Rt. 1237) for approximately 30 days. Crews will be reconstructing Farmwood Road at Route 17 in connection with the Route 17 improvement project at Gloucester Point.  The east entrance to Gloucester Point Shopping Center will also be closed to traffic as a result of this work.  Motorists should use the shopping center entrances located off of Route 17.

Phase I of the Route 17 improvement project is expected to be complete this spring.
