Road Condition Update - 10 a.m.
(Mid- morning clipper creates hazardous conditions)

FREDERICSKSBURG— A mid-morning snow shower has blanketed area roads with an additional one to two inches of snow creating hazardous driving conditions.

VDOT crews are applying chemicals that will prevent surface bonding, salt and sand to provide traction and plowing where there is more than 2 inches of accumulated snow.  The forecast indicates that the system should push through the area by late afternoon. Crews will continue to work in 12 hour shifts today and tonight to clear roads and treat areas that are prone to refreezing.

Motorists are urged to use caution especially on secondary routes, subdivision streets and on bridges, overpasses and ramps.  For road condition information call 511 or visit
