EXPECT OVERNIGHT DELAYS ON I-95 IN CAROLINE COUNTY NEXT WEEK
Dominion Power to run lines across the interstate

On Tuesday, Oct. 19 motorists should expect overnight delays on I-95 north and south near mile marker 115 in Caroline County. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and Virginia State Police (VSP) will be slowing traffic approximately four times between 4 a.m. – 6 a.m. for  not more than 15 minutes at a time to allow crews from Dominion Virginia Power to run electrical lines across the interstate.  Slow rolls will begin on I-95 south at Exit 118 (Rt. 606/Thornburg) and on I-95 north at Exit 110 (Rt. 639/Ladysmith).

Dominion Virginia Power will have equipment staged on the shoulder within the work zone between
9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Oct. 20 through Oct. 22 to allow crews to complete the work.  All travel lanes will be open during the staging period.

In the event of inclement weather the slow rolls will occur between 4 a.m. – 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct.22.
