BE ALERT TO UPCOMING WORK ZONES IN STAFFORD COUNTY
(Be prepared for brief delays and detours)
FREDERICKSBURG – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will active work zones at several locations throughout the county beginning this week. Motorists should expect brief delays at the following locations:
Crews are milling and paving on both the north and southbound side of Route 17 at Stafford Lakes Parkway. Motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone. Work hours are Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 5 a.m.
St. Roberts Drive
Beginning Tuesday, October 20, St. Roberts Drive located off of Joshua Road will be closed to through traffic for approximately two weeks. The closure will allow crews to install sewer lines in connection with the Route 610 widening project. Motorists entering St. George’s Estate should use St. Christopher Drive as an alternate route. The entrance to Shiloh Christian Church will be remain open at allow times.
Rock Hill Lane at Tacketts Mill Stream
Crews have begun work to replace the existing drainage pipe at Tacketts Mill Stream with a concrete box culvert. Motorists will be restricted to one lane traffic on the bridge during construction. A temporary signal has been installed to control traffic crossing the structure. Work is expected to be complete in approximately 45 days.
