RT. 626 IN RAPPAHANNOCK WILL CLOSE FOR BRIDGE WORK
Motorists should use posted detour route from Aug. 7 to Sept. 18

CULPEPER — On August 7 the Virginia Department of Transportation will close Route 626 (Tiger Valley Road) in Rappahannock County for a bridge replacement project. The bridge is located 0.3 east of Route 211 (Lee Highway) and spans the Rush River.

Route 626 will be closed for six weeks, during which motorists will be detoured using Route 211 south to Route 622 (Rock Mills Road) to Route 621 (Hunters Road) and back to Route 626. Access will be maintained to properties on both sides of the bridge.

Approximately 600 vehicles use Route 626 daily.
