RT. 628 TO CLOSE JUNE 17 FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Weslyn Drive will be closed to traffic through June 28

CULPEPER — On June 17 the Virginia Department of Transportation will close Route 628 (Weslyn Drive) in Culpeper County to replace the bridge that spans a branch of the Hazel River. The bridge is located approximately 0.6 mile west of Route 729 (Eggbornsville Road).

The work is expected to be complete and the road reopened to traffic on June 28.

While Route 628 is closed access will be maintained to all properties on both sides of the bridge. Motorists should follow the posted detour route.

Approximately 80 vehicles use Route 628 daily, according to a 2005 count.
