TEMPORARY SIGNAL INSTALLED AT DUNLORA DRIVE
Traffic control will aid vehicles turning from East Rio Road
CULPEPER — A temporary traffic signal is being activated on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at the intersection of East Rio Road and Dunlora Drive. The signal will assist drivers turning in and out of the Dunlora community. Traffic volumes on East Rio Road have made those turning movements difficult during heavy traffic.
The signal will be placed into full-cycle operation after the morning rush hour on Wednesday. The new signal will be synchronized with the existing signal at East Rio Road and the entrance to the Charlottesville-Albemarle Technical Education Center. VDOT signal technicians will monitor the signal during its first days of operation and make any necessary adjustments to the timing cycles.
