RT. 668 DRAINAGE WORK RESCHEDULED TO SEPT. 26-29
Detour will be in place daily during 7 a.m.-5 p.m. work hours
CULPEPER — Replacement of a large drainage structure on Route 668 (Savannah Branch Road) in Fauquier County, originally scheduled to begin yesterday, has been postponed one week due to rain.
Weather permitting, the work will take place September 26-29, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., during which the road will be closed approximately 0.2 mile east of Route 651 (Sumerduck Road). Local traffic and residents will be able to access entrances on both sides of the closure.
During the closure, westbound traffic should use Route 651 south to Route 634/637 (Courtneys Corner Road) to Route 17 at Morrisville. Eastbound traffic will reverse the detour. Detour signs are in place.
