NIGHT PAVING ON W. RIO RD., HYDRAULIC RD. BEGINS SEPTEMBER 7
Work will occur from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. nightly

CULPEPER — On Wednesday, September 7, paving of Route 631 (West Rio Road) and Route 743 (Hydraulic Road) west of Route 29 in Albemarle County will begin.

To minimize traffic impact, the work is being done at night between 7 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. During that time, motorists should expect travel delays due to lane closures during work hours, and are asked to drive with caution in the work zone or use an alternate route.

Contractor S.L. Williamson is doing the paving work on behalf of the Virginia Department of Transportation and anticipates completion by the end of September, weather permitting.

Real-time road conditions and weather forecasts are available on VDOT’s traffic and travel Web site, www.511Virginia.org. The site also has live traffic camera images for many major highways, including Interstate 64, I-66 and Routes 29 and 250 in Central Virginia. Motorists can call 511 from any telephone in Virginia for road and traffic conditions on all major highways in the state.
