BRIDGE TO BE CLOSED ON ROUTE 600 IN LOUISA CO.
Daytime closures Feb. 22-24 will not affect school bus traffic

CULPEPER — The bridge over the East Fork of Beaver Dam Creek on Route 600 (Campbell Road) in Louisa County will be closed for three days next week for a repair project. The work will be done during daytime hours and school bus traffic in the mornings and afternoons will not be affected. The bridge will be reopened to traffic each afternoon.

The bridge will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 22-24. A crew from the Virginia Department of Transportation will replace one of the timber abutments that support the bridge deck. The bridge is an 18-foot-long, steel truss, timber deck two-lane structure. It is posted for a 12-ton weight limit. Signs announcing the closure will be posted.

Real-time road conditions and weather forecasts are available on VDOT’s traffic and travel web site, www.511Virginia.org. The site also has live traffic camera images for many major highways, including I-64, I-66 and Routes 29 and 250 in Central Virginia.
