I-64 EXIT RAMP CLOSED AT SHADWELL OVERNIGHT
Eastbound ramp will be closed at 9 p.m. for milling operation

CULPEPER — The eastbound right lane and exit ramp on Interstate at Shadwell (Exit 124) will be closed at 9 p.m. today so the pavement can be milled before being repaved. The work is part of the ongoing construction of a second lane on the exit ramp; the milling is expected to be completed early Thursday morning. The right lane and exit ramp will be open to traffic before 6 a.m. Thursday.

Motorists traveling east on I-64 should be alert for signs about the lane closure and directional signs through the work zone. They should also be aware that vehicles, construction equipment and workers may be working near the travel lane and moving in and out of the work zone.

Real-time road conditions and weather forecasts are available on VDOT’s traffic and travel Web site, www.511Virginia.org. The site also has live traffic camera images for many major highways, including I-64, I-66 and Routes 29 and 250 in Central Virginia. Motorists can call 511 from any telephone in Virginia for road and traffic conditions on all major highways in the state.
