TRAFFIC ALERT CULPEPER DISTRICT: August 10-14, 2009

CULPEPER —Highway work is scheduled weather permitting in the Culpeper District and traffic may be restricted. Items in italics contain new or updated information.

Albemarle County:
Rte 677 (Broomley Road) – Closed. Rail Road bridge repair. Signs and other traffic control devices will alert motorists. Motorists should be alert for detours.
Rte 29 from Rte 743 (Hydraulic Road) to Rte 1520 (Hollymead Road) – Paving operation. North bound 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. Lane closures and minor delays expected. Motorists should be alert for signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone.
Rte 250 (Ivy Road) – Signal upgrade. Motorists should be alert for signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone.
I-64 eastbound (milepost 108) – Bridge deck repair. Lane closure expected at Stockton Creek bridge. Signs and other traffic control devices will alert motorists. Motorists should be alert for detours.
Rte 743 – Advance Mills bridge. Closed. Existing bridge was lifted and removed from piers. Motorists should be alert for detours.

Culpeper County:
Rte 29 business/Route 299 ramps – Paving operation. 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. Motorists should expect ramps to be closed. Motorists should be alert for detour at Rte 15 interchange.
Rte 3 - Paving operation. Lane closure expected. Motorists should be alert for signs and signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone.
Rte 229 from Duke Street to Rte 684- Widening of roadway. Motorists should be alert for signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone. Lane closures possible.
Rte 15/Bus 29 at Rte 666 – Widening of roadway. Traffic pattern has changed. Motorists should be alert for signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone. Lane closures possible.
Various – Surface treatment. Minor delays possible

Fauquier County:
Rte 55 – Paving operation. 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should be alert for signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone. Lane closures possible
I-66 (milepost 33 to 36 westbound) – Paving operation. 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Lane closure expected and motorists should expect delays. Motorists should be alert for signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone.
I-66 westbound (milepost 22 to 26) –Guardrail and underdrain replacement. 12 a.m. - 3 p.m. Right lane closure and delays expected. Motorists should be alert for signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone.
Rte 605 – Pipe installation. 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Lane closures and delays expected. Motorists should be alert for signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone.
Various - Surface treatment. Minor delays possible.

Fluvanna County:
Rte 15 (Rte 702 - Rte 652) - Surface treatment. 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Minor delays possible.

Greene County:
Rte 627 (Bacon Hallow Rd) – Improvements. Motorists should be alert for signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone. Estimated completion date August 2009
Various – Surface treatment. Minor delays possible.

Madison County:
Rte 29 – Paving operation. Lane closure expected. Motorists should be alert for signs and signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone.
Various – Surface treatment. Minor delays possible

Orange County:
Rte 20 (Mine Run Bridge) - Bridge repair. Lane closure expected. Motorists should be alert for signs and signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone.
Rte 15 and 231 (Rapidan River Bridges) - Bridge repair. Lane closure expected. Motorists should be alert for signs and signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone.
Rte 619 from Rte 624 to 692 – Road widening. Motorists should be alert for signs and signs and traffic controls as they approach the work zone. Lane closure possible.
Various – Surface treatment. Minor delays possible.
