Comment period extended for I-77/I-81 Overlap Location Public Hearing
BRISTOL - The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has extended the comment period for the recently held Interstate 77/81 Overlap Location Public Hearing until Monday, October 31.
The original comment period for the location public hearing that was held September 28 at the Wytheville Community Center was October 8. The comment period was extended until October 31 due to requests from the community to extend the comment period.
VDOT held the public hearing to share the findings of the I-81 Corridor Improvement Study as it relates to the Interstate 77/Interstate 81 overlap in Wythe County, as well as show location alternatives for the I-77/I-81 overlap.
The Interstate 81 Study and all public hearing materials – as well as the comment sheet - can be accessed from VDOT’s website. Go to www.VirginiaDOT.org, click on Projects and Studies, Bristol and I-81 Corridor Improvement Study: Tier 2 I-77/I-81 overlap to access the study information.
