Commonwealth Transportation Board Awards More Than $7.3 Million For Various Transportation Projects in Northern Virginia


The Commonwealth Transportation Board today awarded more than $7.3 million in contracts for Northern Virginia transportation projects, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The contracts and projects include:

A $3.02 million contract to Brothers Signal Company of Leesburg, Virginia for signal maintenance, refurbishment and repair in Loudoun and Prince William Counties.

A $1.99 million contract to A & W Contracting Corporation of Lorton for a sound barrier wall for the Great Oaks Subdivision along Route 234/Prince William Parkway in Prince William County to help mitigate traffic noise. Completion is expected this fall.

A $998,328 contract to DLB, Inc. of Hillsville for bridge rehabilitation and deck replacement on Featherbed Lane over Catoctin Creek in Loudoun County. Completion is expected in September.

A $568,686 contract to Slurry Pavers, Inc. of Glen Allen for asphalt for various roadway maintenance projects in Northern Virginia.

A $436,610 maintenance contract to L.S. Lee, Inc. of Richmond for the repair and replacement of damaged guardrail.

A $275, 493 contract to Slurry Pavers, Inc. of Glen Allen to pave a 1.3-mile section Loudoun Orchard Road in Loudoun County under the state’s new Rural Rustic Road program. Completion is expected this summer.
