Project: Construction Engineering Inspection Services for Salem District Southgate Interchange- Project Specific

Description: The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide professional engineering services for a project specific agreement on the Salem District Southgate Interchange at the Intersection of US 460 Bypass/Southgate Drive (VA Route 314) in Montgomery County, VA. The project will consist of providing construction engineering/inspection (CEI) services for the elimination of the existing U.S. Route 460 Bypass/Southgate Drive (VA Route 314) signalized at grade T-intersection.  The project will provide a grade separated interchange in a new location southeast of the existing intersection.  Work will also include the relocation of Research Center Drive along with other roadway and shared use path relocations/connections. The advertisement date of construction is December 2014.

The Estimated Project Cost is $43 Million dollars

Two-Year Limited Services/  On-Call Professional Pavement Services

Location:  Statewide

Description:  This On-Call Limited Pavement Engineering Services term contract is to provide professional pavement engineering services within the Commonwealth of Virginia including all nine districts, VCTIR and central offices. This is a Fixed Billable Rate Multiple award (up to 2 awards) Contract. The initial contract term will be for two years. At VDOT’s option, the contract may be extended one term (one year or the maximum allowable compensation amount for the term whichever is reached first) at a time for up to two additional terms. The maximum total compensation payable to the selected firm (the Consultant) for services authorized will not exceed $2,000,000 per term, not to exceed a total of $6,000,000 for the initial term plus extended portions of the contract for each award.

Maximum Value:  $2,000,000 per term

Location: Brunswick – Nottoway County Line

Description: The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide professional engineering services for the replacement of the bridge on    Route 46 over the Nottoway River (Spillway) and associated approach roadways.  The length of this project is approximately 0.892 miles.  This will be a Multi-Phased Contract.

Estimated Project Cost:  $21 M

Limited Term Contract for On-Call Statewide Professional Traffic Engineering Consultant Services

Description: The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide on-call professional traffic engineering services for the studies, analysis, design, and operations of statewide traffic control devices within Virginia and to provide technical support and engineering recommendation on traffic engineering issues for the VDOT Central Office and the five operations regions within Virginia to include, but not be limited to: traffic models, signal operations, traffic data, traffic monitoring, work zone safety assessments, training, specifications, traffic and crash analysis, roadway safety assessments, ITS applications, traffic operation improvements, spot geometric improvements, innovative designs for safety and operations, roadside safety, access management, non-motorized traffic, public awareness, traffic calming, Strategic Highway Safety Plan development and implementation, roadway lighting, project delivery process, traffic records, database management, countermeasure evaluation, traffic control device asset management, highway rail grade crossing inventory, alternative intersection conceptual design and preliminary engineering services relating to traffic-related projects.

The initial contract term shall be limited to two (2) years with two (2) optional one-year renewable terms having a maximum value of $2,000,000 per term.

STARS Program (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) Term Contract

Location: Statewide

Description: The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking expressions of interest from dynamic firms to be considered to provide professional planning and engineering services to supplement in-house staff on a “limited services” task order basis under the STARS Program (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions).  This will be a statewide term contract.  It is anticipated more than one contract will be awarded under the “multiple award” procurement process.  The proposed two-year limited services term contract with two (2) optional one-year renewable terms will have a maximum value of $2,000,000.00 per term and will be administered by the Transportation Management Planning Division.

Maximum Value:  $2.0 million per term
