Term Consultant Contract For Statewide Hazardous Materials and Related Services
 

Location: State Wide 
 
Description: The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to perform contamination investigation and remediation, pollution prevention and abatement, environmental management, and regulatory compliance assessment and assistance, for transportation projects and VDOT maintenance facilities on an as-needed basis throughout the state. The proposed two-year limited services term contract with two (2) optional one-year renewable terms will have a maximum value of $3,000,000.00 per term and will be administered by VDOT’s Environmental Division. 

Maximum Value: $3,000,000 per term

Project: Route 15 (Leesburg Bypass) Interchange at Edwards Ferry Road & Fort Evans Road – Town of Leesburg

Description: The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide professional engineering services developing a new grade-separated interchange to replace the two signalized at-grade intersections at Edwards Ferry Road and Fort Evans Road, from 0.2 miles South of East Market Street, to 0.35 miles North of Edwards Ferry Road in the Town of Leesburg. This will be a multi-phase contract with the project comprised of two (2) potential phases. Phase I: Identify and analyze design alternatives and prepare conceptual plans. Phase II:     Develop the plans of the preferred alternative through right of way to advertisement of a conventional Design-Bid-Build contract procurement, or 2) support for Design-Build procurement to complete project design and construction.
 

The Estimated Construction Project Cost is $50,000,000.  A detailed scope of work for Phase 1 will be negotiated and defined in the initial Memorandum of Agreement. The detailed scope of work for Phase II may be further developed prior to negotiations for a Supplemental Agreement.

Limited Term Contract for On-Call Statewide Professional Traffic Engineering Consultant Services

Description: The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide on-call professional traffic engineering services for the studies, analysis, design, and operations of statewide traffic control devices within Virginia and to provide technical support and engineering recommendation on traffic engineering issues for the VDOT Central Office and the five operations regions within Virginia to include, but not be limited to: traffic models, signal operations, traffic data, traffic monitoring, work zone safety assessments, training, specifications, traffic and crash analysis, roadway safety assessments, ITS applications, traffic operation improvements, spot geometric improvements, innovative designs for safety and operations, roadside safety, access management, non-motorized traffic, public awareness, traffic calming, Strategic Highway Safety Plan development and implementation, roadway lighting, project delivery process, traffic records, database management, countermeasure evaluation, traffic control device asset management, highway rail grade crossing inventory, alternative intersection conceptual design and preliminary engineering services relating to traffic-related projects.

The initial contract term shall be limited to two (2) years with two (2) optional one-year renewable terms having a maximum value of $2,000,000 per term.

The initial contract term of each contract shall be limited to two (2) years with two (2) optional one-year renewable terms having a maximum value of $2,000,000.00 per term.

Deadline: Responses must be received by 4:00 p.m. on April 28, 2014.
