Design-Build Request for Proposals
The current RFPs are listed below with a short description and the due date. Design-build proposals must be received by the date and time according to the selected RFP.
Please review the criteria prior to submittal to ensure that your firm receives equal consideration in the evaluation. For more information on the RFP process see the individual RFP.
In order to display and print the RFPs, the Adobe Reader software (version 3.0 or later) must be present on your system. If you do not have a copy installed on your computer, you will need to download and configure the free software here before working with these files.
This is a one-time process which will then permit you to view and print these and other PDF files from the Web. Please follow the installation and browser configuration instructions.
Route 29 Bridge Over Little Rocky Run
Location: The project is located in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Description: Furnish a proposal for the:
- Roadway design
- Structure design
- Quality assurance and quality control
- Construction management
- Right-of-way acquisition
- Environmental compliance
- Utility relocations and design
The Design-Build project includes design, construction, and overall project management for the Route 29 Bridge Replacement over Little Rocky Run in Fairfax County.
Deadline: April 4, 2013 (4 p.m. prevailing local time).
Project Information Meeting: A project information meeting will be held on March 1, 2013 for potential Offerors at the Northern Virginia District Office of the Virginia Department of Transportation, 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030 in the AccotinkConference Room (1st Floor) at 10 a.m. (prevailing local time).
Update: The Price Proposals will be opened publically on Monday, April 8, 2013.

Description: Furnish a Qualifications Submittal for the:
- Design
- Environmental permits
- Right-of-way acquisition
- Utility relocations
- Construction
- Structures
- Quality assurance and quality control
for design and construction and overall project management for the Route 29 / Charlottesville Bypass, Albemarle County.
Deadline: Nov. 29, 2011 (4 p.m. prevailing local time).
Project information meeting: A project information meeting and utility scoping meeting will be held Oct.6, 2011, for potential offerors at the Culpeper District Office of the Virginia Department of Transportation, located at 1601 Orange Road, Culpeper, VA, 22701, in the district auditorium beginning at 9 a.m. (prevailing local time).
VDOT has determined that the Offerors listed below have submitted a responsive Qualifications Submittal for the Route 29/Charlottesville Bypass Project. Each Offeror who has submitted a responsive Qualifications Submittal will be permitted to submit a Proposal for the Project, due on April 17, 2012.
The Proposal will consist generally of a Letter of Submittal, Attachments to the Letter of Submittal, and the Price Proposal.
