Wanda Wells

Wanda Wells was appointed Inspector General on July 1, 2005. A Certified Public Accountant, she has been the Investigation Division Administrator since September 2001. She was responsible for coordinating investigations and special management requests in all activities related to VDOT, internally and externally. Previously, she served as an Assistant Division Administrator with Internal Audit and is a VDOT veteran of 21 years. Prior to joining VDOT, Wells worked for the Auditor of Public Accounts.

Wells is a James Madison University graduate with a double major in Accounting and Finance. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 1986.
